Accepting Payments Online
Learn how payments are processed through Stripe and how to configure your currency settings.
Overview
Reservie uses Stripe as its payment processor. When you set up your reservie account, you connect a Stripe account that is linked directly to your bank account. Customer payments are processed through Stripe and paid into your bank account.
How payments work
- A customer books an event or purchases a pass through your reservie booking portal
- The payment is processed securely by Stripe
- Funds are deposited into your linked bank account (minus Stripe processing fees)
Currency settings
You can configure your account currency from Settings > Payment Settings. The following currencies are supported:
| Currency | Code |
|---|---|
| British Pound | GBP |
| Euro | EUR |
| US Dollar | USD |
| Australian Dollar | AUD |
| New Zealand Dollar | NZD |
| Swiss Franc | CHF |
Choose your currency carefully — if you select a currency that is not supported by your Stripe account, you may be charged additional currency conversion fees.
Processing fees
Stripe charges a processing fee for each credit or debit card payment. The exact fee depends on your country and the origin of the payment card. For current fee information, see Stripe’s pricing page.
Payment methods on events
When creating events, you can choose which payment methods to accept:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| Credit/Debit Card Only | Customers pay by card via Stripe |
| Pass Credits Only | Customers pay using credits from a purchased pass |
| All Payment Methods | Customers can choose to pay by card or use pass credits |
See Creating and Editing Events for details on configuring payment options.
